This is Brianna Viera, a sophomore. She’s currently in-season in the Varsity Brigade at Hastings High School. She is one of the few who take the decision of joining a difficult but rewarding team.

The Brigade team is a dance team that mixes ballet with current trending music, as well as classics. These lovely ladies perform at Varsity football games, away from home and at the Alief Crump Stadium.

In the Spring, they compete against many other schools for judges who’ve done this type of work for years. The team has different styles of dance such as military, kick, jazz, pom, and hip hop. Sure, they’d have to try out again, but in the end, it is rewarding due to the vastly different letterman jacket they receive.

Brianna Viera hopes to make the team for spring tryouts, as it is more challenging and entertaining than a regular performance.
