Decade Ending

By Genesis Paz, Staff Reporter

You most likely have heard about the ending of this decade and how many people are feeling towards the situation, we can certainly ask: How do you feel about the decade ending? Seniors who attend the school were kind enough to talk about how they feel about this.

“I’m excited because it’s been a long journey,” said senior Daisy Flores. “And cause it’s the ending of a new era.”

It seems to appear that many students have different emotions towards the topic. Many are excited, don’t care, and are emotional. There’s no higher number of kids having a certain emotion when they all have different minds.

“Kinda sad ’cause I don’t know I’m ’bouta go into adult hood like I won’t be able to do things I did next year, I have to focus on more important things like college, work, and all of that stuff,” said senior Justine Aleman.

Decade ending is a long period of time which is the limit of 10 years. Many of these seniors are aware of this and it’s an eye-opener for many of them, the fact that they aren’t young anymore, and they have more responsibility. Senior Luis Rivas, agrees with Justine Aleman with the amount of emotion he carried.

“I’m kinda sad cause this decade, it was mainly my childhood,” said Rivas. Mainly all the things I did were, like related to me being a teen and being young but now starting this new decade, I gotta focus on bigger and better things, you know. I gotta go to school, go to work. It’s not gonna be the same but I’m looking forward to it,” Luis said.

These emotions aren’t just carried by these seniors, It’s everywhere.

“It’s been a great year, a lot of stuff happened but you know it’s a new decade so I’m looking forward to it,” said senior Sina Imanian.

Sadness and excitement doesn’t cross around people’s mind. Students all don’t feel emotion.

“It doesn’t concern me as much because we’re not in the nuclear war so I’ll be fine with that,” said senior Alexander Nguyen.
